Original artwork description:

This still life was an experiment where I wanted to paint all of the texture in the back ground and use thinner paint on the foreground objects. I liked playing with the idea of the rabbit being like Narcissus and loosing himself in his reflection.

Please note that due to the painting being accidentally knocked from the easel during painting there is a small nick in the top left hand side of the painting board about 3mm long at the front. This would normally be covered when framed and lost amongst the grey textured background.

Materials used:

Oil paint on canvas board with gloss varnish
