Reminiscent of the interesting castles catching my eye last summer while visiting Europe. My husband had a different take on it. It reminds him of the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. California, close to where he spent his childhood.
I used loose brushwork and an impressionistic style to add to the "mystery" of the place. The castle, located on the Ring of Kerry in Ireland, was inaccessible from the road. I captured some of its essence in a painting, but its enigmatic qualities are entirely open to interpretation.
