One January I was very fortunate to get a personal interview with Morpheus, a great Shire horse, famous for winning the Shire Horse Charge at Lingfield in 2014.
As Morpheus was led before me in a light snow flutter, I took many reference photos ready to paint him from the warmth of the studio.
