Original artwork description:

The interior theme comprises several series of images that deal with different aspects of form and content of interiors in an associative manner. The Mogador series consists of six pictures. The title refers to the old name of the Moroccan coastal city of Essaouira, whose white houses show the influence of Portuguese rule in the 15th century. The composition plays associatively with the effect of light and shadow, which is typical for this city. This is what the black background and the white shadow gap frame stand for. In addition, there are collage elements as photographic set pieces for looks and impressions of the viewer. The haptic surface design and the intense colors of the pictures reflect the oriental lifestyle.

Materials used:

Painting and monotype with acrylic paint and ink as well as collage elements on wooden body, framed with floater frame
