TITLE : Midsummer in the Minch
Modern Rustic Art that creates a luxury hipster look. Extra large abstract photograph of sailing yachts in navy blue and white.
This image was made on the glorious evening of Midsummer this year. The day when the day light is at it's longest for the entire year and in Scotland it never gets dark. The Midsummer in the Minch race from Portree to Gairloch is a yearly event and a difficult course taking the yachts up around the Shiants, small islands in The Minch, a wild stretch of water between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. In a flurry of white sails and whipped dark blue sea they set off. This image seems to catch the momentum, the excitement of the start of the race. As viewers, we raced along the clifftops to catch glimpses of the yachts as they sped along the Sound of Raasay on the East coast of the Isle of Skye, losing them as they headed out into the Minch in the late evening sunshine.

READY TO HANG
In this small edition of my work, my original image is sublimated onto slimline aluminium with a glossy (or matte if you prefer) finish. This is the latest printing technique that is perfect for extra large high quality artwork and rapidly replacing canvas and is particularly suited to photography. The result of printing directly onto the metal is a highly contemporary vibrant image of exceptional depth. The image is waterproof, scratch resistant and of archival quality. It comes framed with an elegant minimal black wood frame round with hanging brackets at the rear making it easy to put on the wall.
The image looks as if it is floating in the frame.
Shipped acetate wrapped and packed with foam in a custom made box. Shipping is included in the price.
So, with shipping and framing taken care of, no hidden costs to worry about, all you need to do is hang it on the wall.
More of my work is available as Chromoluxe, if you don't see the one you want just let me know.
