2020, "Memory" - wood sculpture

This original hand carved elm wood sculpture on steel pedestal is one of the latest artworks of the skillful professional Bulgarian sculptor, deeply inspired by naturalism, geometry and abstract art. Elm is a majestic type of tree, it always grows tall and looks very solid. The artist's concept is to create both powerful and minimalistic style sculptural work in an old elm piece of wood, which had been roof pillar of an old Bulgarian house. It has kept the history and strength of our nation and the sculptor has carved within it beautiful geometric forms, which add depth and expresses the concept of a memory very gently and wise. It is now one extraordinary valuable art object and modern home décor.
