Original artwork description:

The Great Ocean Road has been attracting day trippers from Melbourne and tourists from around the world for years. It is some of the most spectacular coast line in Australia.

This painting is done from my imagination and was inspired by my many visits along the coast there. I've probably been down the Great Ocean Road a hundred times or more during my life, mostly in my younger years, and I can only recall a handful of days when it was bright blue sunny skies. The rest of the time not so much.

In this painting I have tried to capture the feel of the ominous grey clouds gathering without making them the focus. Kind of how I remember it as a kid ... always busy focused on having fun, but keeping a watchful eye on the brewing storm from the corner of one eye.
