These females were standing on a seat watching the train barreling across the wooden railway viaduct spanning the estuary of the Afon Mawddach towards Barmouth. I distilled the background scene to a focus on these inquisitive figures. The painting has been used for the book cover of the Spanish edition of the award winning American author Siri Hustveldt's 'Mothers, Fathers and Others' (Madres, padres y demás).
