I have a soft spot for the Orientalist paintings of the late 1800s/early 1900s as well as the postcards that were produced at that time. A Marabout is a shrine for a Muslim holy man mainly in North Africa. I was experimenting with monochrome glazes at the time and painted the blue glaze over a pale lemon background to give it a bit of warmth.
