Artist's description:

A striking Japanese inspired one-off, original painting by Sian Storey on thick wooden panel, 5cm deep. The image has a translucent quality, ethereal. Created using pools of spray paint, acrylic marker and sealed with varnish. "The painting was inspired by a trip to stunning Kyoto, in the summer of 2014. Watching the Geisha’s arriving in the evening sunlight was a magical experience. I remember thinking how sad they looked behind their mask of white powder, so I wanted to depict the saddest Geisha I knew: Madamme Butterfly”.

The painting is signed by the artist on the front and reverse
