'By Moonlight’ is an original fox painting by British artist Sian Storey.

How it was created

‘By Moonlight' was painted in Sian Storey’s studio in Hampshire, England in winter 2019. Using acrylics and spray paint, you'll see detailed, delicate brushwork, patterns, finished off with flashes of gold spray paint.

Sian paints in layers, as seen in the intricate fur details of the fox and the spray paint drips. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating a hazy, ethereal finish.
