Lydia is the pretty ten year old grand daughter of a friend and this is a colourful portrait I made of her recently. It's my second portrait made in a new measured style using rich saturated colours and It follows a portrait of her older brother Danial; we felt duty bound to do one of his little sister. It is painted on a deep panel canvas so it's ready to hang.
