A small oil study of an area of stunning scenery by the Lune Valley. An area of England where Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire all meet. Just by Kirby Lonsdale, a favourite of Turner and Ruskin. Textural and energetic attempting to represent the colour, richness and drama of the area. Painted onto Fabriano Paper using oil paints. Finished with a varnish to protect the surface. This painting will require a suitable frame.
