'Luminescent Light, Hove Beach'

This piece was inspired by a series of smaller works painted on the beach over several quite different sunsets. It never stops surprising me just how different the colours can be in every sunset. I based this piece largely on one particular study which caught a wash of luminous gold light across the still water creating a wonderful contrast of colour against the blue sky resting on the horizon.
