Artist's description:

I wanted to paint a weakened bee in an urban context where all the pollution —in particular pesticides, intensive agriculture and climate change— is devastating in nature, fauna and flora, and especially for the bees. The orange dots and red net below show what remains of a beehive.

Acrylic painting and mixed media (20x30), on paper 300g, pasted on medium 30x40cm.
Certificate of authenticity. Signed below right. One of a kind.
For the project of Friends of the Earth during the Great British Bee Count, to "celebrate bees in all their natural glory".

Materials used:

acrylic and mixed media, different collages

Lost bee (2016)
