Titled 'Lola' this large oil painting has been created with a simple monochrome colour palette and expressive marks. Disrupting the more realistic areas within the painting reflects the desire for perfection against life's imperfect reality. As the painting progresses these contradictions are pushed and pulled along by my current mood.
