Spring is early this year and the lowland heath (near my home) is smelling of new growth and coming alive in the strong sunlight. Gorse is beginning to flower and the heath is singing with nesting birds.
Thís watercolour was made in mid afternoon in strong sunlight – colours were flattened, shadows and shapes are blurred.
