'Lockdown: Uphill Path 1 Springtime' is one of 8 paintings made since the March lockdown. Each painting was created from the same point of view and at the same time of day. Location: Stoke Common, South Bucks. This is one of few 'lowland heaths' left in the U.K. and contains classic heathland vegetation from poor, often boggy soil, with sometimes rare or scarce plant species.
My painting shows an uphill path sandwiched by Gorse and grasses. Each of the 8 paintings was created at the same time of day - mid to late afternoon - now 'lockdown' deserted except for drifting Kites and noisy nesting birds.
