I spent a week in Pembrokeshire this summer, exploring the beaches and coastal paths. It was a stunning week, with hot, sunny days and calm waters out to sea. This view was from the coastal path at Little Haven, looking up the coast across Broad Haven and to the northern part of Pembrokeshire.
I loved how the warmth of the day brought a mist to the horizon so that the sea and sky seemed to blend together - the light blues contrasting with the bright greens and yellows of the coastal fields.
I worked with a palette knife for this painting so that I could capture the rugged nature of the cliffs and the wild grasses in the meadow from where I was taking in the view.
