Artwork description:

This piece is a bold abstract encaustic painting (bees wax, damar, pigment) on a 10" square cradled wood panel.

The painting is highly textured in thick brush strokes of oil paint mixed with bee's wax and damar. The mixture is heated and painted while hot, and the paint hardens as it cools.

The title refers to a song. Like music, paintings can be about evoking a feeling or a mood. I listen to music while I paint, and I've chosen to name these pieces after the songs that inspire me.

Materials used:

Bees wax, oil paint, on cradled wood panel
