Artwork description:

A hand carved, hand printed linocut of a Lion. In the past I have shied away from this subject matter, due to the amount of carving required to do it justice (so much fur...!). But I took the leap in early 2020 and here is the end result. This was printed over two months, allowing the time to carve the detail in the fur that it deserves.

This has been printed using a single plate of lino, and the detail has been achieved by reducing the lino for each layer (5 in total), so no others can be made, making the small edition very collectible.

Hand printed on good quality 165gsm Zerkall acid free paper, using oil based inks.
It comes numbered and signed by me on the front.
