It's June, and the lilies are exploding in my garden. I don't know why they seem to have their own special time, but this is it...the first half of June! So, this is my orange lily, exploding in the midst of June growth!
This is a chine colle linocut. I cut out the background and printed it. Then, I carved out the lily, printed and painted it; then, I cut it out and adhered it to the background.
Materials used:
linoleum, carving tools, printing paper and ink, watercolor and gouache, 3M adhesive spray
