Original artwork description:

This painting is linked to the theme of shared human life experiences.

The symbolism of the landscape provides a context; of where we have come from and where we are going (ashes to ashes). This brightly coloured painting combines the female nude with wild animal features; to remind us that to be human is to also be an animal. It is also a comment about modern ideas of beauty. There are also reminders about our responsibilities. A handsome domestic cat looks out at us from the cropped lawn. But he shouldn’t be there, or should he? Does he belong to one of the nudes? Is he an accessory or is he free to roam? Is this place real or just some aspect of a memory or thought someone is trying to forget?

This painting is “wrapped” ie the painting extends around the chunky sides of the canvas for perfect viewing when hung without a frame.

This painting will be shipped in a reinforced envelope unless a crate is requested.
