Original artwork description:

big nose
it's a work I did in 2007, at that time I was working on the FREELY series and I was preparing the backgrounds very carefully by overlapping many slightly different layers of white to create a unique wavy background.

I then continued the work by painting with the oil color technique on canvas, the oil color I use by overlapping many very thin layers of color appropriately diluted to create the effects I want.

It depicts a white marble statue of a middle-aged man with an important nose (so much so that over the years I have begun to call him friendly "Nose").
In my hair I painted a hairpin as if to stop a rebellious hedgehog. The barely hinted smile seems to contrast with the frown.

I wanted to recreate a paradox, a marble with a banal hairpin; a man who with his smile was happy and proud to be unique thanks to his defects brought with class and serenity!

The work does not provide the frame to create even more the sense of freedom.

The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity

for shipments outside the EU it is necessary to wait for the authorization of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this could lead to a delay of a few days

Materials used:

colori ad olio su tela
