The work "The Three Sleeping Cats" is a triptych which is part of a series dedicated to cats sleeping on soft polka dot cushions.
It depicts the innocence, dreaminess, and warm softness of black and white longhaired cats asleep in different poses, with elegant white gloves on their paws.
The lightly bleached colour of their cushion and the polka dot pattern enhances the contrast of the black and white world of these felines.
The painting was done on delicate old Arches paper with a warm sandy tone.
The work will be delivered with a contrasting white passe-partout and a thin-edged frame in black resin with protective glass.
