The painting is part of the series "Legend of a rural yard", which I painted in the summer of 2020 in my studio in the village of Bolyarsko, Bulgaria. The life-giving connection with nature and the place where I grew up provoked me to rediscover the memories of my childhood, as well as painting in nature. My models in this endeavor were the vegetables that my family and I had grown. It was a period of beauty, warmth and a sense of return to myself and my roots.
