Original artwork description:

The highly diverse plant genus Philodendron belongs to the arum family. The name is derived from their ability to grow on trees without damaging them (philo = love, dendron = tree). This nature drawing shows the beautiful structures of the leaves of a philodendron species, which are particularly effective when using charcoal.
The shapes and structures of the plant emerge through the positive-negative contrast, which was created by the delimiting form of water drops / raindrops. At the same time, the drops create a connection to the rainforest, the tropics, home to many philodendron species. The drawing has a calming, filigree, fresh and strong effect at the same time. The artist's connection to nature is clearly noticeable.
