Artist's description:

A large, bold, heavily textured abstract canvas. The surface has been built up with modelling gel so is very tactile and has been completed with acrylic, metallics, glitter, crystals and varnish so that it sparkles and catches the light. The sides have been painted black and it has mirror plates attached to the back so is ready to hang.

I created this canvas after my daughter was diagnosed with a chronic illness as I wanted to capture the feeling that even though things are difficult and don't always go as planned there is still joy to be found .. you could call it my personal art therapy!

This is one of my favourites as it never fails to lift my spirits when I look at it.

Materials used:

Acrylic, canvas, modelling gel, glitter, glue, crystals, varnish
