I had decided to digitally paint this portrait without using reference, step-by-step painting techniques or expecting anything to come from it and found that I preferred this as a practice. I loved the final painting and this marked a significant change my approach to digital art and to my practice in general.
It is often mistaken as a self-portrait, but was meant to be a representation of early adolescence and the eerie relationship with the Self.
