Oil on canvas board, unframed 12 x 12 inches. 'Last Saturday' was painted alla prima at a life drawing session - the last one before lockdown. The model posed with a facemask for the short poses and we all laughed not realizing how long it would be before such a session would be possible again. When I look at this picture now the sleeping figure reminds me of how we sleep through life taking simple things for granted.
