Original artwork description:

This is the first painting of the series of “LA, Hotel, Summer ’68”

The image is abstract with a mix of emotions of nostalgia and the expectation of the future. Here I painted the light and the warmth reflecting off the endless concrete futuristic buildings.

I find my inspiration at the cross point of the Russian avant-garde, Film noir, Op art, digital information, data transfer, and technological singularity.

I am referring to the questions of the future of human society, science, and technology. I believe that technological singularity is inevitable and the only solution for the continuation of the human race. The endless geometric utopian architectural imagery refers to the future habitats where humans and technology are one.

My intention is to provide a particular visual experience, a mix of sensory stimuli, and to arouse different emotions, questions, and doubts.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, pencil
