Original artwork description:

After visiting South Africa and Lesotho in 2011 and then again in Oct/ Nov 2013 the following are a selection of paintings developed after sketches and studies in the Maluti Mountain range between the Eastern Free State and Lesotho and up to the Drakensberg Mountains of Kwa Zulu Natal. It is a particularly beautiful, mountainous area inhabited predominantly by the Basotho people. It is a wonderful place.

I am looking here at a Zulu village through foreground trees on my way up to the Drakensberg mountains - which can be seen stretching up in the background.

This painting is complete with a beautifully handmade frame - which leads the eye right into the work. Signed by me on the front and reverse this painting is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Oil on canvas
