strong, and in control, Knockout Girl, loves her life!
A large black and white linocut looks deceptively simple, but can actually be right there with the most difficult, to make an image really work when you only have 2 "colors" means you have to look at things in a different way. And then to roll this lino plate up, it is definitely one of the most difficult things in lino printing, I use a fantastic paper, crisp white with a velvety surface, and the best oilbased black ink. There are always some little defects, as it is impossible to roll up by hand and have nothing... I hope you think of this as part of what makes an original print original, and not a reproduction. This does not mean, that I accept a "bad" print, I am a hard judge of my own work!
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist,
and I sign, title and number each print.
"Knockout Girl" is printed in a short edition of 50 prints,
you might not receive the number seen in the photograph.
The linocut itself measures 16" x 23", (40cm x 60cm )
and the beautiful piece of clear and crisp white Zerkall
printmaking paper measures 27" x 19", (70cm x 48cm)
Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc. The home interior photo is not entirely to scale.
I'll mail your linocut to you protected by tissuepaper and cellophane, it comes with a flier explaining what a linocut is.
If you have any questions just get in touch..... that's what I am here for!
Thanks for looking and welcome back.
