Original artwork description:

Acrylic on Aluminium.

These exoplanets are named after NASA's space telescope Kepler. Nicknamed "Earth's cousin" 186F is an exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf Kepler-186, about 582 light-years from the Earth and 10% larger than Earth itself. It is the first planet with a radius similar to Earth's to be discovered in the habitable zone of another star.
Compared with our sun the Kepler-186f's sun is so young and therefore its light seems more to red and less warm, making its foliage darker and near to black to absorb as much as energy from the sun.
Painted on a circular aluminium panel designed to reflect the subject matter. Will be delivered with a subframe so this can be 'floated' off the wall.

Materials used:

acrylic paints and mixed mediums
