I painted 'Keep the home fires burning' on cold and windy winter day in my studio, from an Indian Ink drawing made earlier on location, in The Bell Inn at Minster, Kent. As usual, I used only professional quality watercolour paints on the finest watercolour paper by St Cuthberts Mill.
I was attracted by the flickering light of the log fire, and the traditional pub interior, with it's antique copper and brass objects etc.
It comes to you, set behind a quality mount, wrapped in cellophane and with a signed certificate of authenticity, so it will make a lovely gift for anyone who loves old pubs, log fires and traditional interiors.
I have signed it on the left, behind the chair. It is NOT framed, the photo is for illustrative purposes only.
Image size: 13 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" high (343mm x 241mm)
The price includes FREE post and packing to UK addresses.
For overseas postage, the mount board 'may' have to be removed.
I will pack it securely and flat, between strong boards and I have a 100% safe arrival record.
Do you or a friend enjoy traditional interiors and log fires, in old pubs?
