Original sepia with inks drawing portrayed a kabuki Japanese traditional actor playing a role as a geisha. Kabuki (歌舞伎?) is a classical Japanese dance-drama. Only male actors performed all the roles in kabuki. Every actor has a stage name, which is different from the name they were born with. Some of the most famous dramas are the love suicide plays these center on romantic couples who cannot be together in life due to various circumstances and who therefore decide to be together in death instead.
Inspired by Japanese woodblock prints and anime, manga, otaku modern Japanese urban culture.
Materials: sepia, inks, watercolours on Malmedy heavy weight fine art paper.
