In this painting, I was trying to capture the delight of a summer garden. It is a bit of a jumble, colors running together, flowers moving in the breeze, the sunlight glinting off of the leaves and petals, the bees buzzing round. This patch of garden that inspired this painting was unplanned, and much to my surprise, I love it! Usually I am such a planner, but the serendipity of this garden delights me.
