Artwork description:

My research behind this photographic series came from observing the countless spontaneous plant paths, twists and compositions, small natural worlds that are often in front of our eyes and to which we do not give importance, or even notice.

The dream aesthetic of Japanese Dream is thus linked to the perception of nature as "the magical moment of its transience," an aspect that in Japan's Shinto tradition can be summarized by the term Mono no aware (Pathos of things).

Japanese Dream I is an original print made in the darkroom using only light sensitive paper. The image is printed on archival photographic paper which has been hand processed in a traditional darkroom.

A special handmade Sepia toning process was also carried out in order to give a bright-toned coloring to the lighter areas of the print. A second Selenium toning was also added to the darker areas.

This treatment provides a better visual experience and unparalleled longevity to the fine art print.

Each print is unique and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

Fiber based 300 gr. paper
