On the day I painted this, I could have chosen to paint a wide river gorge. But this meandering trail beguiled me. It was calling, friendly yet mysterious. When I was done and packing up, I had a bit of regret that I hadn't taken the invitation. I had only stood at the edge of the forest. I will have to return and satisfy my curiosity.
