It seems that I continue to be drawn back to the subjects of the human figure, nature, portraits, or flowers. I also love landscapes and children as subjects. Just can't get away from the beauty or mystery of them.
Here we have what appears to be a metamorphosis in progress, possibly. But I would dare to say simply that we are drawn to light, as surely as the moth to flame. Is it our doom? I wouldn't think so. Houses filled with light are good things, because where there is light, there is no darkness.
This is the most recent "larger" sized piece from me, at 18.25x24 inches, no frame. There is an unfinished frame for it (as I am starting to do with all my works now), and pictured here in the other view is a mock up of what it could look like in an antique style frame. Seem appropriate.
Birch wood panel, oil, gesso
