"In this abstract, all centred on the internal drama of the human
condition, Fintan Whelan uses pigments and varnishes to reflect the
everchanging movement beneath the skin. They mark the constant
encounters of matter, propulsion and ideas of which we are only
fleetingly aware. Whelan has a particular interest in how abstract
representation curiously echo the concrete experience of human life."
