In the Land of Lacroix is an ode to jewels I've pined over. I wanted to create something ornate and special, that felt precious. I used metallic foils and the laborious technique of mosaic to create something to be coveted much like the jewelry I so desired.
Using cardboard this piece is part of a continual project that focuses on exploring the act of transforming a waste product into something treasured. Breathing life into something we once might have thrown away.
