Original artwork description:

Acrylic colour on cold pressed watercolour paper, acid free, 23.25 x 33 in., 59 x 84 cm
Inspired by an amazing classic design, complete with all round balcony on the 3rd floor. As the title suggests, this building is located in Singapore’s Chinatown.
This kind of building, the shophouse is a common structure found in South East Asia. The older style as in this painting are getting less and less. What’s left in Singapore have mostly now been beautifully restored. And they tend to look good as a painting.
The close up pictures are to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress, and me with the painting for perspective.
