In 2022, I wandered through Europe with everything I owned packed into a single suitcase—paint supplies included. I moved from one home to another, crossing borders, learning new rhythms, meeting strangers who became dear friends. Along the way, I discovered that home isn’t a place made of stone—it’s something I carry within. It lives in the quiet center of my being, and in the hearts of those I love. Wherever I go, it goes with me.

In this painting, the cat gazes into the owl as if peering through a window—but instead of looking out, it looks in—into the rich, luminous world each of us holds inside. It is a soft reminder that sometimes, the most beautiful landscapes are the ones we find within ourselves.
