Original artwork description:

A late summer/early autumn floral display. I have used both thin and thick paint in this painting, the thick paint on the flowers to make them stand out against the background.
I have included the large chunky flowers of hydrangeas alongside more delicate cornflower and feathery fennel, to give a pleasing mixture of texture.
A square painting on a stretched canvas with painted sides: it does not need to be framed.
