Original artwork description:

The Blue Heron is majestic in flight but when hunting I find it fascinating. How it stands in the water, perches on a branch, stealthily creeps up on its prey… all so calculated and each motion poetry.
In mating plumage this heron is perched on branches within striking distance of its prey. Painted from a photo by C. Jalovell.
18 x 14" acrylics on Canvas board. Very Audubonesque in feel. It could grace any room in your home.
This painting is now framed for a Juried Show. It is mounted and under glass in a fruit wood frame. The framed dimentions are 17 3/4" H x 20 3.4" W x 1.50" deep. Sunning effect.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Materials used:

Canvas board, Acrylic paint with gel varnish.
