Original artwork description:

In my favourite area of Hull, that little Bohemia called the Avenues. I love walking here, when the sun is bright and the air is filled with a lilac scent. The roads are symmetrical, Victorian, the legacy of the Industrial Revolution, thousands of red and brown bricks. I find the terraces beautiful. They remind me of times long ago. Anchors of solidity. This work is full of colour, is alive, satisfyingly realist and cheering. A perfect souvenir of England.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.

Materials used:

acrylic and card
