Artwork description:

Hornets may appear menacing and indeed they are capable of delivering a painful sting. Moreover, unlike bees, hornets have a quiver of stings in their arsenal which can be deployed with no impact on their longevity. They have large strong mandibles that were once used to cut through the tough exoskeletons of other insects but since the signing of the Herbivy Treaty in 505 are now used to cut through the exocarp of fruit and periderm of trees.
The humanoids in this fictional world may playfully spar over an apple with a hornet or wasp they fully understand that they are outmatched in size, tenacity and weaponry.
