She had long wanted to paint the steel-colored North sea in her city. Lockdown forced her to look for the beautiful in the ordinary things around her. The sun breaking through the clouds symbolize the hope for a beautiful future, and the gray strict water indicates that there is beauty in everything, even in familiar things.
