the three girls, represent hope, faith and peace, and they are on separate copperplates printed on the same piece of paper, the etchings are drawn and then I have used the acid to bite out the edges to make them uneven and a bit more interesting.
I use copper, for all my etchings, and tend to apply aquatint to almost all of them, as I like the details to be darker or lighter. These copper plates are tricky to ink up, with the edges uneven so there can be small difference from print to print, something I hope you will appreciate as making your original print even more original.
I print all my own prints, on my etching press, using best quality etching inks and paper.
The piece of cream velvety printmaking paper measures 13" x 10" (34 cm x 25 cm)
and the actual printed image area measures 10" x 5.5" (25 cm x 14 cm)
I print the girls in an edition of 40 prints, they are all numbered and singed, please note I can't guarantee you get the number in the photo.
I mail from my studio in Denmark, and it takes round 10 days for outside of Europe and 5 days for inside Europe. I pack all my art very carefully, see my reviews, so they arrive safely.
